How Many Calories Does Smoking Consume?

I thought stimulants work by increasing the rate at which your body uses energy, either in the brain or by increasing heart rate or locomotion etc. So say a non-smoker became a heavy smoker for a day (so we don’t have to factor in a wasted pair of lungs). Would these new smokers’ bodies be consuming 1% more calories - 5%, 10%? I’m not really interested in the appetite suppressant angle. I am curious if anyone has an answer.
