Zero, but I have a good friendship with my neighbor’s cat.
Currently I have 11. But only two of them are pets, as in house cats. The rest are barn cats…working animals who do yoeman work at keeping the farmstead free of rodents and reptiles. They recieve a small “living allowance”, but if they want any extra goodies they have to go catch it themselves.

I have two and might consider having three, one day (when my two dogs are gone).
Only one since Thursday.
But you’ll have the Three Berts before long. Be very afraid.
I’m only owned by one cat right now. Though we have been thinking about getting him a partner in crime.
I have four. But the two DSH neutered males were supposed to be barn cats - it’s not my fault they found the waterbed cosier. The two siamese were supposed to be the only inside cats.

I brought one to the marriage and so did my husband - it’s been a running joke that since he’s so allergic to cats, we’ve limited it to two.
At this point, I think after these two I’ll limit it to none - there are things about cat co-habitation that I can really live without.
Three right now, 2 girls and a boy. One oldest female we’ve had for 10 years, and the 2 younger ones are siblings we got about a year ago.
Two right now.
The most was 13, but this was when a cat I shared with two roommates went and had eight kittens, so until we got rid of them, we had 13 cats in the house. Then we were back to five. Still too many…and two dogs.
Two (now age 9 and 15) for the past eight years.
A few years before that, four.
The day I was born there was a cat in the house. In the 60 years since then, I have literally never lived without a cat. Usually one or two.
Six here.
My ex was a great one for collecting cats, and I never minded–I like cats. Then she left me, and left me with seven cats. Sadly, one had to be humanely euthanized last fall, and now I have six. They are a lot of work, but they are nice cats, and good companions; and I enjoy having them around.
We only have two right now: Chutney and Hoot the Bad Kitty.
We had eight several years ago (house with a cat-flap). Never again. Never, never again.
Four. One is an older cat that I’ve had since he was a kitten, and brought with my when I moved from Chicago to NC. Two boys that a friend had found under her trailer and brought to me because they were so young they needed to be hand fed; they’re now almost three years old.
The fourth is a female I’d adopted last year. She was nearly a year old and had spent her whole life in a cage at a vet’s. She is now the queen of the house, and has all of us males firmly under paw.
Three: Lucy and the tiny terrors, Dot and Mayme. Lucy was adopted from a foster agency, Dot and Mayme came from a friend of TheKid.
Growing up, we only had one cat at a time. When I moved out, I brought my cat (Bernie) with, and TheKid’s dad brought his cat (Cleo).
Two. A 2.5 year old black and white annoying screaming kitty and a sweet, gentle 4 year old 100% pure-bred scaredy-cat tortie.
Hi! I mostly hang out in MPSIMS.
Plus a feral or two that I feed when they show up.
Six are indoor only, 3 are reforming barn cats so they are out when the weather’s good, but are quite happy to spend really cold/hot/wet/windy nights (and sometimes days) indoors.
And for Cicero, so sad.
I’m over cats. Haven’t had one in 25 years.
I brought my daughter home from the hospital and my black cat had been sleeping in her basinette. I banished him from the house (kept him as an outside cat) and never got another one.
