Is there a way to determine the number of people on the national level, by party affiliation, who have been indicted for criminal action since Jan. 2000? What about the number of people censured by congress? Is that information centralized anywhere?
Censure by Congress is easy. You can find a list of members censured and expelled here. There is only one name on the list since 2000, Democrat James Traficant.
With respect to indictment, I’m not sure what you mean by “people on the national level”. Do you mean members of Congress? People within the federal executive branch? Or what?
Yes, members of congress - legislative - and members of the executive branch, e.g. federal office holders and their related officials. I think that’s what I mean. Is there a finer level of discrimination that I might use?
