How many gigs/megs is the SDMB archive?

Kind of a desert island disk thing. I was thinking it would be nice to have the SDMB archive if I were trapped on a desert island with only a few CD’s and a solar powered laptop.

The current size of the SDMB database is about 1.75 GBs.

Of course, if you were going to put the SDMB on CD sets before being stranded, you could compress the archive. :slight_smile:

Note: this isn’t practical for the real SDMB archive, as decompressing the database on-the-fly would be slow and somewhat inefficient.
