How many grams of omega 6 fatty acids do normal american diets provide

Info I have read says a 1:1 ratio of omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids is optimal, but I do not really know how many omega 6’s I get in an average day so I can take the same amount of omega 3s. What is the ballpark for the western diet for omega 6s? I know the average western diet is 33% fat and roughly 3000 calories, but of those 110 fat calories I don’t know how many would be omega 6s.

I saw this

What most people really do lack in their diets is a sufficient amount of omega-3s, to provide the balance necessary to make the omega-6s effective. In this case, by far the best source of omega-3s is simply to eat two or three servings per week of a cold-water oily fish, such as Atlantic salmon, lake trout, tuna, or Atlantic mackerel.

But these fish contain about 2g Omega 3’s per 100g of fish

How Much Omega 3 Fatty Acid Should Be Included In Our Diet?

The recommended daily intake for Omega 3 fatty acids is 1.12 grams per day for women and 1.68 grams per day for men. Consumption of Omega 3’s is particularly important for expecting and nursing mothers due to the added nutritional burden from pregnancy and nursing.

So are we only eating about 2-3 grams of omega 6s, and only need 2-3 grams of omega 3s? What happens if you get a ratio too high in omega 3s (2:1 of omega 3 vs omega 6), does that have drawbacks too?
