Forgot to mention my great gym story:
A woman I worked with in LA felt guilty as she had not gone to her gym in about 6 months at least. She gathered her gear together and drove to the gym.
Not only was the gym closed, the building had been torn down and there was a new building/business there! She claims she never got a notice from the gym that they were closing.
Freeweights. Basketball Court. Swimming Pool/Diving boards. Squash/Racketball. Yoga. Pilates. Jazzercise. Zumba. Personal Trainers. Spa/massage. Rock climbing wall.
But if you only want to bike? And you don’t care for spin class? I guess not.
I didn’t get a notice that my BANK location was closing. It’s a Dunkin Donuts now.
More power to you, but that can’t be much of a workout if you’re still fresh as a daisy for a day of work. I used to get up at 5 a.m., run 10 miles, then shower, eat, and ride the train 3 miles to work. Running the 3 miles there wouldn’t have helped me reach my fitness goals, and wouldn’t have made me popular with my co-workers or my boss.
I’ve known people that ran or biked to work early, then showered and got dressed, but they always worked it by… joining a gym near the office so they could use the facilities for that.
What’s a guime?
