There are 37 of me in the U.S. Which is odd, I would have thought there would be a lot more. I’ve even met two more of me.
None.
There are over a million with my first name.
It says there are zero with my last name, but that’s incorrect. There are about 30, most of them being my relatives.
2 with my married name, but under my maiden name I’m unique! (assuming that 1 is me)
0 - first name
390 - last name
I know this to be false, unless the only other person I ever met with my name has died.
I’m another zero, probably because I’ve long had an unlisted phone number. I’ve never shown up on these things. Last name alone, there are 1140 of me. First name alone, 3,000. The more common version of my first name nets 176,981 results.
TikkiSis was married to a guy with a very common first and last name. Her first name is common too. Then, there were 4,347 of her (and 15,314 of him. Ugh!) Now that she’s gone back to her maiden name, she’s down to just 5.
Either 93 or 20, depending on whether or not you my common first name or my equally common nickname.
However, I know for a fact that a guy who shares my first and last name lives in the same city I do, and we go to the same small doctor’s office. I have to stress my date of birth to whoever is pulling my file when I call to make an appointment.
Me, obviously, but what’s truly heebie-jeebie-inducing is that I’ve actually met her. She’s my eye doctor!
Well, I thought it was uncommon, but not that uncommon!
Pardon my above sentence. I re-read it, and it’s unclear that I’m one of two with my full name and my eye doctor is the other.
Four
I got a bit suspicious when the site told me that I do not exist.
So then I clicked on the button labelled “accuracy information”, and gee whiz, was I disappointed! The program is a complete farce.
I had thought it contained accurate info from the census bureau–i.e. the real names of actual people. But no, it’s just a statistical game.
It counts first names, it counts last names, but it makes no attempt to list pairs of first and last names that actually belong together , because a real person with those names exists somewhere.
Okay, here’s an exercise for those with time on their hands: There are 89 people out there with both my first and last name. My last name starts with the letter that follows alphabetically on the first letter of my first name. There are 808,415 people out there with my first name, and 32,997 with my last.
What’s my name?
That site is completely inacurrate. It says there are 0 people with my last name in the U.S., which is utter nonsense, especially given that at the very least they should be counting ME. Not to mention, a search of whitepages.com says there are 96 published listings of people with my last name and 18 unpublished. Likely there are even more than that, given some people don’t even have land line phones anymore. So really, that site’s so unreliable that it’s not even fun to play with it.
There are 230,976 people with my last name in the USA.
There are 862,410 people with my first name.
There are 663 people with the same first name and last name.
Of all the people in the USA with my last name, I am related to only 14.
Huh. The site says there is only one of me. Which I know is not correct since there are at least two other people with my name I’ve discovered while doing a vanity search. One guy works for Microsoft and one guy is in a band.
And as soon as I found the band, I hoped and prayed that they’d never make it to the bigtime. I’d have to change my name.
None of me.
There are 3 of me. And like Lisa above, more than 99.9 % of people with my first name are female–and I’d bet any males with my first name exist only due to a spelling error. (Dropping the final letter of my first name creates a male name–just for fun, I checked out the male version of my name, 3 of them. There were several more me’s (7) if you spell my first name with a c where the k goes, and a small oodle of males with that spelling–again minus the a. Oddly enough, there were 5 of my mother, 119 of my father (and only 3 with his very common nickname–think Mike instead of Michael, though that isn’t it) and 6 of my brother. There are even 2 of my sister-in-law) Pretty interesting, given that there are only about 10,000 people with my last name.
You’ve been whooshed. Note GorillaMan’s location.
I am an unique snowflake!
Looks like there are 3 of me. My last name is pretty unique with only 2370 of us. And since Mrs. WeHaveCookies and I are both highly unlikely to birth or adopt any kids, our little branch of the tree shant be contributing any more (my older brother and his wife don’t have any kids either). Actually, since we might merge our names when we have our commitment ceremony, I may actually end up subtracting from the total.
