How many people in the UK share your name?

There are 615 people with my first name, 47 with my surname, & none with the combo.

78 people with my name, which is hardly surprising, since my dad is from the UK.
I know that back home in Canada there are dozens of people with my name --including the guy who managed to trade bank accounts with me, and the guy who drives drunk in Alberta :\

There are 101 people with my last name. I’m fascinated by the fact that there are 5 people with the first name that I go by, but 16 people with my given first name–it’s very much the other way around in the States. There’s nobody with both my first and last names in the UK.

whatever pedanticman. whether official or not, its still recognized and not, as you put it, ‘an e-mail myth’. don’t government websites count for anything anymore?

and anyway, the problem I had with it is that you are a Jedi, rather than that being the religion. Shouldnt it be the Force as the religion?

I hate to think how many Pauls there are in the UK, there was about 30 at my school, out of 1200 kids.

16007 with my first name.
28399 with my last name.
5 with the combo.

And none of them is me.

I would think that my first name would be much, much more popular. Here in the states I’m sure that there are many more people with my first name than with my last.

If I include my middle name, I’m totally unique. If I don’t, then theres 43 of me.

The email myth was that if any ‘religion’ received 10,000 ‘votes’, then it would automatically become ‘official’. Which was not the case at all. I got sick to death of hearing people talking about it prior to the census, having believed every word of the email

Maiden name: "You are unique. You are one with the angry Squirrel. Shout ‘I am the unique. I am unified with the badger overlord.’ People will run away. That’s because they’re jealous. JEALOUS… "

Married name: “You don’t exist. Go and look in the mirror. If you see something then we’re wrong else you’re some kind of magic pixie, elf, carrot or vampire. Sorry.”

So. Being that my maiden name is English, you’d think there would be more. Guess not.

1074 share my first name.
2448 share my last name.
2 share the combo.

3891 share my boyfriend’s first name.
74 share his last.
none share the combo.

I don’t want to hijack the thread, so I’ll just say that that’s gibberish and suggest you look up the word “official”. It’s true that the State would not have to “recognise” a fictitious religion just because people made a weak joke on their census forms though.

And while I’m in full pedant mode, it’s not possible to be comparatively unique. You either are or you aren’t.

Dunno about Himmler, but Hitler did have relatives in Liverpool … I thought they all died or changed their names, though. (Try Googling “Bridget Hitler” for further details.)

83452 with my first name.

3 with my surname.

No combos.

I hadn’t thought anyone would share my surname, as all the people I know with it are related to me, however distantly. Too bad I don’t know that first names of the three with my surname.
