But they’re not actually vB polls - he just asks you to list your 5 favorite Woody Harrelson movies. So the only way to “vote” is to post.
This isnt a single issue: Its multiple issues under a single topic.
I thought this was about something completely different, namely the propensity of some posters to start new threads when there’s already one or two or ten going on essentially the same subject. To some degree one can expect this on distinct aspects of broad multifaceted subjects, but examples abound on less than stellar topics – for instance I counted no fewer than 7 separate threads in “Elections” on Donald Trump’s candidacy, two of which were moved and 5 of which live on. Which one do I post in? They’re all about the same thing. (I was going to start a thread just to say this, but … :D)
Re the OP, I replied to the Woody Allen thread because I thought it was started by a diehard Woody Allen fan wanting to know what other folks’ favorites were. I hadn’t noticed the 6,483 other polls or realized that this was an epidemic that would come to be known as the Polls of Zeldar.
The thing I wonder is why Zeldar likes making these threads so much. He’s told me before that he thinks he’s wired differently than everyone else. But I wonder what he gets out of it.** Zeldar**, care to elaborate?
Generally speaking, I enjoy them, if they’re about something I care about. But I admit making too many might upset some people, if other threads they are interested in get pushed out of the way.
