I thought some movie had 182. The band Blink 182 got its name from it, but I forgot what movie they got it from. I thought it was Scarface, but Torque says there is only 145…

Well, I did that count by hand, since the only copy of the script I found was in PDF format, so it’s possible I missed a few. It’s also possible that the actual film deviates from the script, so there might actually be 182 in the movie itself. My tools are limited here; all I can do is count the words in the script.

that’s a myth. they’ve told countless stories as to why they added 182, but i don’t think there’s any real reason. but…
in year 9 and 10 computer studies, we did some programming in Pascal (i think). the command to make text blink, was

color(182).

so what’s up with that? crazy coincidence or are Blink secret computer nerds?

For some reason, Entertainment Weekly (12/15/1995 issue) listed Casino as having 365 "fuck"s. Is your total perhaps for the director’s cut?

Anyways, I’d argue that the champ should be decided on the basis of frequency, since a longer film like Casino obviously has room for extra "fuck"s.

So, here’s 12 films that break the one-fuck-per-minute barrier:

I don’t remember there being a “director’s cut” of Casino; the alternate versions of Casino list on IMDB indicates that some cuts were made for an R rating, but the home version and the theatrical version are, as far as I can tell, the same R-rated movie.

I went by the script I found here. Copy and paste it into Word, do a find and replace for “fuck”, and you get 439 changes made. Now, I went through the script fuck by fuck, and I found two that were in parenthetical notes, so they wouldn’t have been in the movie. Just in case, let’s toss out another one, leaving us with 436.

Unless you dispute the script or my count, this makes Casino the champ once again, with one “fuck” every 24.5 seconds.
