How many windows do you have open on your PC?

At the moment, one Firefox window with 6 SDMB tabs.

When i’m working:

If i’m doing research and/or writing:

1 Firefox window (with multiple tabs) for the Dope; 1 Firefox window (with multiple tabs) for research; 1 MS Word window; and one Adobe Acrobat Pro window.

If i’m working on web pages for a small job that i’m doing:

1 Firefox window (with multiple tabs) for the Dope; 1 Firefox window for the online version of the webpage and for any research i need to do; one Dreamweaver window; one Photoshop window for resizing pictures and doing other graphical stuff; and one Windows Explorer window so i can see the website files on my computer.

That’s typical, though sometimes there’ll also be Coreldraw, and a few other image editing packages.

Huh. Kind of a slow day for me.

I generally have WordPad open, two browser windows, and then as many chat windows as people I’m chatting with. On the Straight Dope sometimes I go through and open every thread that looks interesting in a new window, since I’ve never gotten used to tabbed browsing, but they never stay open for long.
