It seems to be the trend to send out cards just by e-mail this year. Although I applaud the saving of trees for cardboard, glue and little sparklies, my “lookie lookie at how many cards I got” line is a little bare this year.
Anyone else get most of their cards by e-mail this year?
None, which lagged far behind my snail mail receipt of one. It just seems that if you save them for a year and send them back with the names crossed out and reversed, people think you aren’t taking Christmas seriously - except mum and dad.
None. Maybe because there was a virus alert awhile back, warning about e-cards.
I did get a few cute e-mail jokes with a Christmas theme. One of them was a photo of a hunky guy in a Christmas setting. “Scroll down to see Santa’s willy!” Yeah, I scrolled down. “For God’s sake…Act your age… there is no Santa!”
As an experiment, I sent out 22 Christmas cards, all were sent the Friday after Thanksgiving. My goal was to see how many I would get in return. I got 2, one from my brother and his wife and the other from a cousin and his wife. I included my email address in the cards and received no emails from anyone. As of right now, my card list for next year has gotten very short.
