I am thinking about getting my teeth fixed and everything and just wondering what the average price would be if I had say:
3-5 cavities
the kline teeth or whatever its called has to be pushed up a bit. I have 2 front teeth that are long and look like rabbit teeth and 2 other really long and sharp ones that make me look like a vampire. I will also probably need braces to push my front teeth back. How much would the total cost do u guys think it would be before I go out and start looking. Thanks
By the way I am under 18 and my dad is paying hah so is there any insurance or something ? Thanks!
Most, but not all medical insurance includes some dental coverage. You’d have to know specifics about your dad’s insurance to find out what it covers.
Braces vary depending on how long you wear them, and what specific work is needed. You’d need to go to an orthodontist for an evaluation and estimate to know for sure.Likewise, prices for dentists vary by practioner and by location. Only a dentist can give you a proper estimate.
Fact is you should go to the dentist twice a year for routine cleanings and check ups. Don’t put it off.

Depends where you are. Yes, you can get insurance. yes, you can get it cheap at a dental colleges (yuck). yes, orthodontists give free estimates sometimes. What does it cost? Alot. My dentist charges about $110 for a one side filling, $150 for two sided ones. Plus Xray. Plus cleaning.
Since last December, I have spent the following amount on my choppers:
Root planing/deep cleaning (two sessions including regular cleaning & polishing): $750
Two fillings (where the two front teeth meet): $250
Removal of three wisdom teeth (no gas): $325
3-month follow up and pocket test (which went quite well): $75
Total so far: $1400. NO insurance. All out of pocket.
Still to come:
Removal of fourth wisdom tooth by oral surgeon: $125-350 (depending upon need for gas)
6-month cleaning & polishing: $75
9-month cleaning & polishing & pocket test: $75
Of course, your totals will vary depending on where you live. Braces in this area tend to run in the $2000+ range depending on what type.
Good luck and keep them suckers clean. FLOSS, I MEAN IT!!
Man thats alot of money. My dads insurance is BlueSheild right now which covers like all of health and we dont have to pay anything they pay full 100% but its also $400 per month for me and my dad. Too bad it doesnt cover dental work. Thanks for the info guys I will look around.
BTW, think $100 per filling sounds like a lot? If your cavity gets too deep it will inflame and possibly infect the nerve in your tooth. This hurts ALOT and your choices are to have the tooth pulled or get a root canal.
Root Canal: $700 PER TOOTH + Crown restoration $600 (this makes it look like a tooth again so you can chew. $600 is for a metal crown, a white porcelain crown costs more).
Deal with your cavities now before they turn into evil evil root canals.
Visit your dentist ask & him what insurance plans he takes & which ones you could get. I don’t think you can just join a plan for $50 a month & then go in right away & have them do $2000 of work.
