How much do you exercise?

Not what your resolution is, what you consistently do. Please add in comments about what sort of exercising you do.

Pretty much 30 min of vigorous pedaling on the stationary bike daily-1,000 calories according to the counter on the thing. Actually I think I am getting a bit addicted to it, to be honest (I originally thought there was a “like” in the middle of your title).

Walk, run, or hike around five miles a day, which alone takes more than 30 minutes. Additional exercise varies.

I’m weird.

I have about a 1/4 mile walk in the parking lot at work every day, times two.

I am always moving around and doing something at home; so I rarely sit down. I don’t watch much TV.

Most days at lunch I go for about a one mile walk.

I don’t do much, but I do enough.

I have a lung condition that seems to prohibit too-vigorous exercise, but I do crunches every day, I walk a lot, and I climb stairs whenever possible.

My resolution for the past 4 years was exercise at least 30 minutes at least 200 times in the year. Made it for 2009, 10, and 11. Failed in 2012 (made it to 160).

About 60 mins a day, 5 days a week then maybe 20 a day on the weekend.

Walk my dog then hit the gym for either 45 mins of weights (m/w/f) or 45 mins of cardio (t/r).

I have a dead sedintary job so I gotta do it that way.

I run or bike 3-4 days a week, and ski (lift or backcountry) 1 or 2 days a week. As we move towards April the skiing will drop off and the long runs will increase.

Running and biking. My total mileage for both last year was 815.

Four days a week of weightlifting; devoting one muscle group per workout. My workouts vary between low-to-mid range reps, with the low reps being in the 4-6 range and the mid range reps being 8-12. I tend to focus more on the higher reps; only occasionally dipping in the lower ranges.

I do cardio everyday immediately after lifting, for a vigorous 20 minutes. I warm up for 5-10 also before lifting. Depending on my goals, I will throw in a Friday cardio-only session; 30-45 minutes on the arm bike.

All of this is managed intuitively; I take breaks when I need it and I change things up when I’ve plateaued or gotten bored.

I run three days a week (most weeks, anyway), typically for 3-4 miles (which takes me 25-35 minutes). I’ll occasionally swap in a turn on the stationary bike for a run.

I walk between 45 minutes and 2 hours about six days a week. I don’t know which option in the poll is for that.

I use the gym for a variety of cardio (running, rowing, cycling) for about 45 - 60 mins (time permitting) 4-5 days per week, plus do a pump class and a yoga class once per week each also. Just recently, I’ve also tried to fit in a spin class, but their schedule doesn’t coincide with mine so much, so that only happens once every 2 - 3 weeks. And because it’s summer, I try to hit the beach at least once per week, just because it’s lovely.

People can tell if I have missed any of my regular exercise, because I become grumpy from lack of endorphins.

I try to run 5k a day, but usual busyness means I end up running 5 days a week on average. 3 times a week I’ll also lift weights, that lasts about 45 minutes a session. Everyday after school I go to the park with the kids for about an hour and half. That probably counts as exercise too. If I ate better I’d be in pretty good shape.

I aim to run for 30ish minutes a day, five days a week. In practice, it winds up being a bit less than that due to laziness, work, etc. I also try to walk to work, weather permitting–that’s about a 45-50 minute walk.

I was about to put “exercise, shmexercise” but then I realized I bike to and from work every day, about 20 minutes each way. And I do a moderately physical job with some lifting of 40-50 pounds (I’m a prep cook and make giant vats of soup and beans etc.)

I’ve got a sedentary job in front of a radar or radio console, 12hr shifts and 80minute commute on either end, 4days of and 4days off.

I try to get to the pool on all my days off and do a kilometre which takes me on average about a half hour and then it’s to the sauna, hot tub and home.

I stopped smoking tobacco last year but I drink a few beer a day so I’m still packing abit of a paunch. I want to be heart/lung healthy but still enjoy life.

Now you just gotta give up the wacky tobaccy! Mmm, drugs r bad, mmkay?
