Interesting. I find it awkward for me and my poor neighbours (I’m in an apartment) whenever we do anything, because it really, really comes across as unnatural. That said, I don’t think my current partner is faking it, since she seems to get genuinely frustrated when she can’t be loud (e.g. roommate home watching TV). I guess quiet, intense passion is just more exciting for me.
