I live in an apartment in the city. I can’t afford to go hunting.
Not quite 0%, though, since my parents have pecan trees, walnut trees, berry bushes, and mulberry trees. I’ve never done any large-scale gathering of them, though.
Things have been different, though. We used to go deep-sea fishing rather often when I was a girl, wrapping and freezing that of our catch we didn’t eat that day and eating it over the course of the next several weeks. I suppose we might have reached 5%.
I’m not sure if the shrimp we bought from the little neighborhood stand counts – THEY certainly harvested the shrimp from the Gulf, but I’ve never been on a shrimping boat in my life.
I’m always meaning to shop at the farmer’s market instead of my grocery store. It’s just such a long drive in comparison – fifteen miles versus three blocks. My budget is rather tight, so I can’t just spend all that extra cash to feel good about myself.
