How much would you pay for Car Health Insurance?

I just found out that Pets have their own Health Insurance and I also found out that there is something called “Legal Insurance” that will help you get a lawyer when you need one, some guy was trying to sell Legal Insurance to my Mom.

I think that this would be a good idea for a new type of insurance, Auto Health Insurance which unlike regular Auto Insurance would be for helping pay for routine maintenance and if something major were to happen to your car’s engine it would help pay for it.
So let’s say that it was going to cost over 1000 dollars to fix the engine you would just make a claim and pay a low deductable and not worry about the 1000 dollars and how much you pay per month would be based on the age and condition of your car.
Then you could buy different insurance packages like the highest one you could get free tires and oil changes and the lowest one would be only for major engine trouble.
Would anyone be willing to pay for something like that?
How Much?

They’re called extended warranties, and you can buy them from the dealer or from independent third parties. Read all about it: http://www.carbuyingtips.com/warranty.htm.

It won’t work. The only kind of insurance that covers maintainance is health insurance we humans use. And we are paying through the nose because we don’t take care of ourselves. Car health insurance would be treated the same, why take care of the car, my car’s “health insurance” will pay to fix things I break. Even pet health insurance does not cover routine exams, shots, or neutering. I would like house health insurance. I’m going to need a new roof in the next couple of years and it sure would be nice to let others pay for it.

I actually thought I had an original idea for a minute :smack: .
