How music and literature is triggered.

How often is music or stories triggered in the way I am about to describe?
I was lying in bed replaying a conversation that almost happened between A girl at work I have a huge crush on and me. I began to construct how I would have liked the conversation to continue and go somewhere useful and after a while I decided - why not do this on the computer…

Well when I remembered while at the computer I clean forgot what, specifically the conversation was about, and therefore how I had reconstructed/extended it. That’s beside the point… the point is… with an emotional reason behind it I have aquired motivation to write a story A fictional story about a man and a woman, but using my situation for the motivation.

Can anyone list or name songs or literature that came about because of a real emotional situation in the author/writer’s life?

The list would probably be about a hundred thousand pages long. Include poems and we’re all in deep, deep shit. If we’re not just talking about love here (and it doesn’t seem we are), I’d assume that a fair majority of art is triggered by this. My singer constantly claims his lyrics are basically just him daydreaming and not that often stuck in reality. The trick is to make that daydream as real as possible. Well, there’s a bunch of tricks, I suppose. I’m just saying this list would stretch out to next THursday.
