How often do you see your state bird?

Ohio’s is the Cardinal and we have some living near so I see one every few weeks. The past week I have seen several mated pairs chirping around.

Indiana is also the cardinal - I see them all the time. Had a next outside my home office window last spring - but they seem to have moved out this year.

Quite a few cardinals in and around my yard here in Ohio. I hear them even more often than I see them.

Cardinals are also the North Carolina state bird, and I see them occasionally. One time a tree was cut down and later that afternoon I saw four or five them surrounding the stump, presumably perplexed and wondering where their tree went.

I see California quails all the time when I’m out hiking, so probably 4-5 times a month.

I see California Quails in my yard pretty often, which is great because I get a chuckle from seeing these comically round bird families scurrying around

Roadrunners? Very rare.

Hi neighbor, I’m in Raleigh.

I probably see cardinals every day. I’m an amateur birder, so I’m always on the hunt for my feathered friends -of any species.

Oregon Western Meadowlark - hmmm - I could not tell you the last time I saw one. Been a while. Still raining and pretending to winter on though, so we haven’t been out looking yet.

I’m also in Ohio and I see a Cardinal almost every day in my backyard.

California quail - about once a week, more if you include hearing them.

Purple finch – I don’t think I’ve seen one yet.

I get bit by a few mosquitoes every year. Oh, you mean actual birds… well, I hear loons fairly often as there’s a pond by where I work, but I don’t see them… I can hear them, though… out there… somewhere…

Washington’s state bird is the goldfinch? Whaaaa?

I literally haven’t seen a single one in the two years we’ve been here. Now bald eagles, those I see every day.

Us, too. Do you ever see any of the little chicks? They look like earthbound bumblebees.

Illinois is also the cardinal, and I see one maybe once a month?

Wisconsin’s is the robin. So, like every time I turn around for 3/4 of the year.

Texas has the mockingbird and I see them around the house all the time.

Minnesota’s is the common loon, which isn’t very common where I live. I have seen them (though the last I saw one I was in Michigan and the last time I heard one I was in Wisconsin)

When I lived in Wisconsin I saw robins fairly frequently

I assume provinces can join in? Pretty sure I have never seen Alberta’s bird, the Great Horned Owl.
