I obtained a package of sweet Italian sausage that has bits of mozzarella cheese running through it. My oldest daughter is visiting this weekend, and I’d like to prepare this sausage for Saturday dinner. But what should I do with it?
If I wanted to go super-simple, I’d:
sautee some sweet peppers (yellow, orange and red) in some olive oil, then brown the sausages in the same pan. I’d boil some pasta and toss it with marinara sauce.
Then I’d put the sauced pasta in a baking dish, with the sausages and peppers on top, top with more mozzarella cheese (because you never have too much cheese), then broil it until the cheese melts.
But I’m certainly open to other ideas for it.
