How thick is the earth's crust?

I know, I should be able to find this myself, but believe me, this is faster.

I’m just looking for a ballpark figure (though feel free to get all technical with each other, just because I don’t understand doesn’t mean it’s not fun to watch) for when, on average, you’d hit rock you’d start sinking into rather than standing on.

Anywhere between 10km and 70km, depending on where you measure at.

Ballpark figure followed by stuff I didn’t understand. Excellent. Thank you, Joe Random.

Here’s an image that is easier to understand, which I found buried in the site I linked.

My pleasure.
