How to Dress for a Memorial Service?

At Dad’s memorial, immediate family (Mom, Sis, and myself) were all in dark casual clothing, Dad left his business suits behind him when he retired and never looked back, the only ties seen were that of his acquaintances and distant freinds, anyone who knew him knew he preferred casual

Memorial was at home, on the front lawn that was always a source of pride and meticulously maintained, we planted a River Birch in the lawn as a memorial, spread his ashes around his tree, and during Mom’s eulogy, a male cardinal (his favorite bird) alit in the tree for the duration of her speaking

Even this cynical Athiest thought it was a nice little happenstance, we joked that it was just Dad checking in on us.

What if the only suit I have that still fits me is my tux?

Then this is an excellent opportunity to update your wardrobe.
