How to find out about the pharmaceutical product approval

Most e-pharmacies supply generic sildenafil citrate for less than $1/pill. The generic is approved for treatment of hypertension if I am not mistaken. Is the generic form an FDA-approved for ED? How to find out about the approval? I do not think it is stated on the blister/package/leaflet.
I can’t even count how many options are available on the market. Generic meds production is on the extreme rise and everyone is trying to make some quick profit by selling them. When I try to look at the manufacturer’s info, I get some very discouraging results. I guess it will be safer to consider the products of Cipla or Centurion as some of their facilities are US FDA approved.

Most of your questions are answered on the Wikipedia page.

Is your primary concern the reliability of the manufacturer?

I’m not sure if sildenafil citrate is approved as a treatment for hypertension itself since its main effect is for ED. If you are looking for information that can help you decide which generic medicine to buy, I would definitely recommend searching your desired pill on pillrankings ( https://pillrankings.com/intimax-sildenafil-review-effective-cheap-impotence-drug-without-reviews/ ). It is a site that provides reviews for medications that are not generally easy to find or widely availably and should provide all the pertinent information needed in order to make your decision! Hopefully you’re able to find what you’re looking for!

The generic form of a drug is approved for everything the Brand Name formulation is. They are chemically identical, after all. And every generic sold by prescription has to be approved by the FDA.

Nobody is making a quick profit on generics for less than $1/pill. The profits are made by hiking the cost of Brand Name pills to tens or hundreds of dollars. There’s nothing special about them or their manufacturers. I don’t understand the OP’s concern.

It has no emergency use for hypertension.

Benefits are only proven after a number of WEEKS, and higher doses do nothing for hypertension. Apart from its viagra effect …

As the symptoms it treats are idiopathic, its not going to be used in ED … its quite likely the patient will feel worse in the short term … if the patient is at the edge, its not going to be sildenafil citrate…

It’s used for primary pulmonary hypertension, which is life-threatening and not like the hypertension everyone gets if they live long enough. Believe me, HCPs know the difference.
