I’m helping out with a car that is on its second owner. I need to know when the car was sold to its first owner, down to the month at least. I already know what model year it is. It’s in relation to a warranty the the manufacturer extended on one particular faulty part. Where can I find this? Will it be on the title? Printed somewhere in the car? Can I look it up on the Internet somehow with the VIN? I’m interested in the date of sale, not manufacture. Would the dealer have records of it after almost a decade?
Carfax has this information. It was on the reports I got when I bought my car and it’s on the sample report they show on their website. A little pricey at $35 for one report though.
