how to get copy of my birth certificate (florida)

Ok I was born in Melbourne Florida and I need to aquire a copy of my birth certificate. Google has failed me (all I get in my search are geneology pages and how to aquire new identitys) I have done it once before many moons ago when I got my passport but I have forgotten what the hell I did.
If any of you are able to direct me in the correct direction I would greatly appreciate it.

I went to the Bureau of Vital Statistics, at least that’s what it’s called here.
