Beekeepers use smoke to calmbees, so, no, you won’t make them angry. As others have said, honeybees fall squarely into the “live and let live” category (unless you have bad allergies).
And I’m sure babySmaje would not be outside alone and unsupervised at this age in the first place, and so would not have the opportunity to mess with them …
You should be fine, they want the honeysuckle, not you. I’ve lived around big bee-filled bushes like this before and have never gotten stung. I’ve been stung many times by bees, but in every case I either trod on them inadvertently, or they got tangled in my hair (not usually a problem, but my hair was down to my knees when I was a kid).
They’re not inclined to sting willy-nilly, because when they sting the stinger and a goodly part of their hind end are torn off, and they die.
Until the OP brings a soda out to the backyard.
