How to lose half your endurance in 10 minutes

Prior to Sept. 21 I could run 35 minutes comfortably… well, fairly comfortably.

But for the last week I’ve been running out of gas after about 20 minutes. I couldn’t figure out what was going wrong. And then I remembered.

On Sept. 21 I donated a pint of blood at the blood bank. I didn’t know donating blood could screw up my plans for running a 10K. Ah, well. live and learn.

Edit: Apparently, donating blood screws up your grammar as well. The title of the thread should be “How to *lose *half your endurance in 10 minutes”

Yeah, it is effectively reverse doping.

I tried doing the double red blood cell donation thing a couple of times and after feeling like a slug of for the next couple of days both times, decided it was not for me.
