How to use Eudora/Outlook with yahoo mail?

Is it possible? It says you have to have the ID of the computer your email comes to(your ISP, right?). Well, I’m about to change ISPs, and isn’t there an easier way to configure an email program than to find the ID of your ISP’s email PC?

Am I just too dumb/lazy? IS THERE AN EASIER WAY?!?!

I did it with Outlook Express through its Tools / Accounts menu.

Most of it is self-explanatory, but under the Servers tab, where it says “Incoming Mail (POP3)” I wrote: pop.mail.yahoo.com

Under “Outgoing Mail” you write, well, it depends on how your ISP handles it. At Earthlink, it’s “mail.earthlink.net” and yours might be a variation on that. This tells the computer which direction your e-mails are going (that is, this account says I’m receiving mail from my yahoo account, but sending mail out through my earthlink account. The ISP handling my Web site will let me receive mail, but not send it out through them. I have to do it through EarthLink.)

I don’t know how Eudora handles it.

And no, it’s not you. There’s a lot of little bits of trivia to know and write down to do this sort of thing.

You have been extremely helpful. SALUD!
