How were exterior shots of The PJs done?

Anyone know how The PJs exterior shots were done? CG or models?

They look like models to me.

However, they will be augmented by CG, by removing wires or extending the set or adding atmosphere effects like smoke, just like any other TV show is these days (you’d be surprised how much additional work like that goes into a regular non-genre drama).

The show ran from 1999-2001, if that affects your answer.

I guess the first Tobey Maguire ***Spiderman ***was 2002, so CG was already in a state to be that good.

No, same answer, definitely models. Maybe no set extensions, but wire removal and adding smoke and atmosphere would still be likely.
