With a bang, I’d bet.
Are we counting Roger Moore’s character in Cannonball Run?

Is this thing on?

Rocks fall, everyone dies.
Hence the SNL skit. “Mr Bond, you have 114 different venerial diseases. 14 of which we’ve never encountered before and are naming Bond 1-14.”
First with a whimper (“oh, James!”), then a bang.
When they introduce Adam Sandler as James Bond…
<< shudder >>
Here’s mine:
Bond Girl De Jour: So James, how old are you?
Bond: Umm…
Pierce Brosnan is almost as old as my dad. The latest bond girl (not Halle Berry) is almost the same age as me. Scary.
But Bond’s been in films for what, 40 years now? How old is he now, and why does he look so good? That was the point.
Okay, so given that Bond will be around until the end of time as we know it, the next question is, “Who is most likely to play Bond after Brosnan gives it up?”
I figure he’s got maybe another 3 films in him before it’s time to hang up the old Walther.
That means his replacement should be around 30 now, to be of roughly the right age when Brosnan takes a hike.
Which 20-something to 30-something actors around today would make a good James Bond?
I heard some clamor after the last Bond film came out that they should make Sean Connery be the villain in the next one and have him finally kill JB.
BTW, I also heard that the GoldenEye N64 video game made more money than the movie did. Can anyone confirm/deny/clarify?
Yeah I know, I just thought I’d throw that tidbit out there :).
D’oh!
Incidentally, I gots me reserved tickets for Die Another Day’s opening night at the local (Santa Cruz) nine-screener.
And of course the chief sexual harassment suit will be filed by Miss Moneypenny.
I can’t give you a definitive answer on that one, Elwood, but from the Movie Times link I posted earlier you can see that global profits for GoldenEye are $291.3 million, and this article claims that the N64 game made $250 million net profit.
I’ll bite.
Colin Farrel
I first saw him in American Outlaws ( a cheesy, but well done B Cowboy flick about Jesse James.) The first thing that went through my mind was " He is a hottie" then later on, " He’s IRISH?" give him ten years and he will be the next 007. Mark my words.
