How would you apply to a job you've turned down in the past?

As a person whose resume automatically goes into File 13, guess this is something I don’t have to worry about. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, the company decided they didn’t want to speak to me because of this. :frowning:

It doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, but if they see it that way there’s nothing I can do. sour grapes If they are that rigid that they won’t overlook one problem (which, for all they know could have been something totally beyond my control) 3.5 years ago then I don’t really want to work there…except I did.

Oh well, I do still have my current job, so it wasn’t a life or dead, work or starve situation.

They specifically said that? Wow.

As good as. I rang the agency for an update on Thursday because I needed to know how to arrange my current free-lance work and she said “Look, I should be clear that in light of what you told me I wouldn’t turn down any other offers; I only give you about a 10% chance”. And the day after she gave me a definite “no”. The position is still being advertised.

I don’t really get it either. It’s not as if I told them to stick their job up their arses or anything like that.
