Veteran newscaster Howard K. Smith died. He was an associate of Edward R. Murrow. Among other things, he monitored the legendary Kennedy/Nixon debate. In fact, he was right there for a lot of late-20th century events.

I swear, I went to CNN’s home page and there it was. WTF? And why don’t I remember it either?
I thought I remembered this already happening. Maybe it just didn’t get the coverage it deserved.
