HP Laserjet 4050 and card stock

Does anyone happen to know the maximum weight of card stock that I can run through an HP Laserjet 4050? I’ve checked the HP website, and I’ve got the maximum paper thickness, but I’m really wanting to run some card or cover stock through there, and i’d rather know what it can handle before I buy a ream.

Unfortunately, HP will only answer this question for me if my printer is under warranty, which it ain’t…

According to guide it can handle paper up to 53lb.

I’d found that figure as well, so I’m guessing the thinnest cover stock I’ve found-- at 67 lbs-- is just a tetch too thick to work its way through the rollers.

Here’s some 53lb paper for example. I don’t know if places Office Depot/Max or Staples would carry it.
