HUGE TMI Warning: I have an ulcer

What is this CBR you speak of?
I did have a curved barbell in, but the ball on it was big. I had a smaller one, but I had to take that out because if wasn’t long enough with the swelling at first and it seemed as if it was what was making it swell. I think it was, the swelling went down not long after I put in the larger one.
It was a lose lose situation smaller barbell = swelling, but no ulcer; bigger barbell = no swelling, but ulcer. :frowning:

CBR is a captive bead ring. A ring with a bead holding the two ends together. That’s what I have. After hearing a horror story of someone whose barbell went inside the piercing (bead and all) and she couldn’t get it out, I’m never getting one of those!

I heard that one, except it was that her hood grew around her ball, and they had to cut it out. But that’s easy enough to avoid.

In this case, the ball just went inside the piercing hole. She could feel it but coudn’t get it out. She was about to go to the piercer to see if he could get it out when somehow it popped out by itself.

This is someone from another message board I belong to, posting as it happened, not just a story I heard.

How on earth could someone not notice the skin was growing around it? Didn’t she ever wash???

I’ve retrieved dozens of piercing balls from earlobes in my career. Haven’t had to get an imbedded one out of genitals yet. Just remove them when they “got stuck” or otherwise couldn’t be removed by the patient.

Apparently to a lot of people, their own genitals are Terra Incognita and they lack the explorer ethic.

I agree - it’s shocking the ignorance some people possess about their own bodies - but in the case of the woman I mentioned, she was very, very, extremely familiar and comfortable with her genitalia. She knew the ball was there and could feel it easily but couldn’t get it to pop back out.

Now, what about those people who think urine comes out of the vagina? Or the ones who think the clitoris is up near the cervix?
