I agree that the tail wags the dog because American voters allow it; however, the large media conglomerates have the power to propagandize American voters and undermine the democratic process. The erosion of independent journalism and the emergence of mass media control is what voters should be mobilizing to change. How can Americans make informed choices when information is controlled and propaganda is coined news?
I think many voters feel hopeless and defeated, so they don’t vote. This is disheartening because American voters do have the power to enact change, but they have to believe it and want change.
