Huntington Beach..Municipal Money Hungry Bastards!

I’ll be frank, Surf City, the once quiet laid back Southern California Beach Town has turned into a Nazi-style SS Police Force backed by an insatiably money hungry city counsel. Development has Pacific Coast Highway gridlocked. Constant Sewage spills polluting the once pristine coastline consistantly close local beaches.
Mrs. Roboto and I witnessed a bicyclist get harrassed and manhandled by the cops simply because he didn’t have a bicycle License. Last night, while dining with friends and after purchasing a parking pass- I was ticketed for being alittle tardy.
This ticket is $42. Forty-Fuckin Two dollars. A couple of weeks ago, I surfed at a location with meters. 25 cents for 10 minutes. I watched as a parking nazi wrote at least 12 tickets. This place is over-patrolled and over-governed. It’s ironic how two dollar signs ($$) look like a fitting Logo for the goose-stepping iconoclass that now rule surf city.

You need bicycle licenses now? When did this happen?

It’s not just Huntington Beach, although they are by far the worst. Almost all of the beach towns are cracking down on anything that seems likely to rake in the bucks from tourists and passersthough.

Ah, another on the long list of places for me to avoid. Thanks!

Huntington Beach requires bicycle Licenses & head & tail lights if you ride at night. The Police there strickly enforce city laws. Next, it will be Surfboards and Skateboards.

You are welcome in Seal Beach Mac and there are no Parking meters. Just check the signs for 2-hour Parking. There is However an ordinance that forbids feeding the pigeons, you can feed the gulls just not the pigeons.

Can you feed the pigeons to the gulls?

Huntington Beach has an overzealous police force disrespectful of individual liberties? THE HELL you say!!?? This must certainly be a recent development.

But seriously, I loved those T-shirts that said on the front “HB 4th of July”
and on the back had Cartman as an HB cop asking us to respect his authouritay.
Good stuff.

To be honest, i think requiring front and rear lights for bicycles being ridden at night is the height of prudent policy. Cars are required to have them; why not bikes?

The rest of the stuff sounds like shit, though.
