It’s not God causing this to happen to the Republicans, it’s the Obama Regime.

The conservative talker suggested early forecasts, which showed the storm hitting Tampa, the convention’s host city, were intended to cause Republicans to cancel the first day of their convention. Newer models showing the storm striking New Orleans, he said, are intended to link the convention to memories of Hurricane Katrina, which made landfall seven years ago this week.

I’m speechless… how f*ing dumb can this guy be? I supposed that actual Hurricane is an optical illusion?

There was already simmering political fallout from the storm. Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal, who canceled his trip to the convention in Tampa, said the Obama administration’s disaster declaration fell short of the federal help he had requested. Jindal said he wanted a promise from the federal government to be reimbursed for storm preparation costs.

“We learned from past experiences, you can’t just wait. You’ve got to push the federal bureaucracy,” Jindal said.

FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate said such requests would be addressed after the storm.

**“We wanted to make sure direct federal assistance got out first,” Fugate said.

Obama promised that Americans will help each other recover, “no matter what this storm brings.”

“When disaster strikes, we’re not Democrats or Republicans first, we are Americans first,” Obama said at a campaign rally at Iowa State University. “We’re one family. We help our neighbors in need.”

FEMA should tell Jindal to go eff himself. Where’s all that responsibility for your own d*mn self talk now? Why am I as a federal tax payer being forced to keep the state of LA from having to suck it up and pay for their own stuff?

Don’t count on a hurricane response to win the day. Obama should do as much as he can to help out in Louisiana and Mississippi, but hurricane fighting does not always win elections. Houston mayor Bill White made Perry his bitch after the Rita debacle which helped us totally beat the crap out of hurricane Ike. Haggard Bill White was on TV 19 hours a day during the storm and its aftermath, but White still lost to Perry a couple of years ago. Maybe being seen as a hurricane fighter will generate more interest up north where they don’t have hurricanes.
