I didn’t say that hydrogen isn’t potentially dangerous, just that it wasn’t a big deal in the Hindenberg specifically. I, too, have seen toy balloons of hydrogen ignited in demonstrations, and it’s not something I would want to be holding when it happened. But I see that my remarks might have been misleading, and I apologize.
