Hyundai = Kia's Upper Line?

I used to know car makes well, but today it’s harder. I read that Hyundai is actually made by Kia and is priced higher. Is that correct? Is it the upper crust of Kia? (…like Lexus and Infiniti)

Bonus question: Who makes the Scion? And, what is their country of origin?

Wikipedia says it’s the other way around: Hyundai owns Kia.

I claim the bonus point - Toyota owns Scion, and they’re headquarted in the US.
