I absolutely cannot find a purse I do not hate.

My purse, which I liked just fine, had a broken clasp so I went looking for a new one. Aargh, it was horrible. After a month or so, I finally found one that wasn’t completely wrong, and I’d like it fine if it was an inch or so bigger–I can’t get things out of it easily. I don’t have huge requirements, I don’t know why it’s so hard to find the right purse.

I think I’ll start making tote bags. Except one of my main requirements is a zippered pouch that isn’t easily accessible, since I have to carry my kid’s allergy meds. We practically never use them, but they have to be there and away from prying little fingers.

This is one of my major handbag gripes. Well one of several, I suppose.

I hate the way so many bags these days are shaped like a trapezium. They appear to hold enough stuff but, because of the irritating way they’re shaped, the contents are difficult to remove. I like a bag which opens wide enough to be able to actually see inside.

I’ve recently fallen in love with a bag at Queenbee, after being kinda devestated that the tapestry bag I’ve carried for approaching 4 years is starting to wear out. I haven’t gotten it yet in the mail, but everything I’ve heard about them is wonderful. [I’ve ordered the [Tektonic Truckette](http://www.buyolympia.com/queenbee/sid=655755017/Item=tektonic_truckette) in plum.] They have some more subdued and smaller/larger bags, too.

So today I received, and proceeded to desecrate, a genuine Fossil purse. At least it felt like sacrilege. I hope I don’t hate it a week from now, because if I do, I’ve already damaged it beyond repair. Anyway, I cut out the center divider. The only thing is, it came without a strap (which I knew) and the strap from my old Fossil is the wrong color. So I may have to find a new strap for it. Somehow.

Chotii, an email is on the way
