I am a fucking degenerate or might kill myself soon!

So I am currently going to a computer university for 3D animation. I have partied too hard and dropped a shit load of classes and now I might have fuck it all up. If I fail anymore classes I am pretty much screwd.

So I am doing this assignment and I can’t figure any of this shit out.

Pre Calc…why do I have to do math when I am a math student.

So it dues at midnight and I am trying to get it done. I am going to post some of the questions and see if you can help. This might be a week rant now but if I fail this class I could be beating my fore head in and asking for a group stoning.

The following data can be best described as
x 1 2 3 4 5
y 3 6 12 24 48
(Points: 1)
Linear
Trigonometric
Logarithmic
Exponential
Power
2. The following data can best be described as
x 1 2 3 4 5
y 2000 1000 500 250 125
(Points: 1)

Logarithmic
Trigonometric

  1. REFER to your text, page 410, problem #18. SHOW ALL OF YOUR STEPS. You need to start with the geometrical relation shown, and conclude that:
    (Points: 2)

  2. A function, f(x), is even if and only if f(x) = -f(x) (Points: 1)
    True
    False

  3. The function, is considered to be… (Points: 1)
    Even
    Odd
    Decreasing
    Neither even nor odd
    concave downwards

  4. Write the formulation for a rational function which meets the following criteria:

  1. Zeros at x = -3 and x = 2

  2. Vertical asymptotes at x = -5 and x = 7

  3. A horizontal asymptote as y = 1

(Points: 3)

  1. Write the formulation for a function that has:
  1. Zeros at x = 2 and x = -5

  2. A vertical asymptote as x = 7

  3. A horizontal asymptote at y = 3

(Points: 3)

Isn’t getting outside help on a take-home exam considered cheating?

No, I am NOT going to give you homework answers.

But I will make a suggestion on how to get the answers. Graph the problem, it should be obvious what the answers are. If it isn’t then might I suggest you get some tutoring on this subject.

The only help I can give is to tell you that (and don’t tell any other parents I said this; it’s heresy) if you flunk a class it’s not the end of the world. Hell, even if you flunk out of college, it’s still not the end of the world.

As long as you can glean a Valuable Life Lesson from this, you’ll be fine in the long run. Now go study.

The members of the SDMB will not do your shoolwork for you, DdDHellspawn.
