i have decided that i am the smartest person to ever interperet the constitution.
i am also the smartest person in Hickstation Arkansas, but that is for a later discussion.
the thirteenth amendment clearly states:
Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
note the part that says “no involuntary servitude”
so, dose that mean that the draft is unconstitutional?
if someone dosn’t want to go to war they could say that it was inviolation of their 13th amendment rights?
i feel a history day report coming on. i really do.
