He has the idea that if he ignores problems they just go away. Which is why he got multiple summary judgements against him, which are typically very rare in the legal system.
As the video showed, by going into bankruptcy he is both putting a lot of scrutiny on those corporations, and he has largely ceded control of them, so his plans might not work out the way he thinks.
I really hope so. I wonder how he can still believe that ignoring things you don’t like makes them go away? Like, really believe it, not just bravado in front of his fans?
I’ll have to check this video out this evening. I’ve been concerned that he might get away with any assets he’s hidden before the judgment or the bankruptcy filing, whereas anything he is trying to hide now might get him in more trouble. I want to see the smirk wiped off that POS’ face.
Because at the end of the day he’s a dolt? I mean he might manage to squirrel some cash away, so he might not be a complete dolt. But that $53 million he transparently owes to himself and his parents via a shell company? Yeah, I don’t think he’s going to get to keep that at the end of the day. Sure hope not, anyway.
The thing is, however much of a grifter he may be, he still has immersed himself in shrieking about conspiracy theory lunacy for decades. You can’t do that and not acquire at least a little bit of mental dysfunction, no matter how disingenuous you started out as.
I’m hoping all the dolts that donate to the upper-case Dolt will see that money funneled directly to the families awarded money. This might actually help them get more of their restitution. Thank you dolts of the world!
Maybe Jim Carrey can take a whack at him. Wouldn’t even have to be as The Riddler.
That can be Alex’s punishment: having Jim Carrey annoy him for the the rest of his life!
With this statement I think he has really set himself up for a legal catch 22 with regard to these donations.
If he keeps them from the families then he’s guilty of hiding his assets, if he gives them to the family then he’s guilty of fraud for misusing donations.
Nobody told me I had to respond to the lawsuit! My lawyer told me I didn’t! I swear I’m not an arrogant, lying asshat! - Then goes on his website and makes fun of the proceedings.
I’m just afraid some trumpist judge is going to be like, yeah, you totally relied on your garbage lawyers! I hereby vacate this suit! Or similar.
How ironic it would be if someone gets fed up enough to take direct action* and the alt-right claims it was all a fake – Jones is alive and well, living in Barbados somewhere.
That or make him John the Baptist to Trump’s Jesus, a martyr who foretold His coming.
Well that’s (one of) the sad things here.
If Jones were to make a special broadcast where he admitted to his viewers he made everything up, and apologized to the families, the vast majority of his viewers would immediately conclude that he was now part of the conspiracy.
He couldn’t stop the madness now even if he had any such decency within him.
