I am going out of my mind!!

Okay, so I’ve been out of school for a week, and I am running out of things to occupy my time due to a lack of transportation. It’s too hot to walk everywhere, the beach isn’t withing walking/biking distance, and there’s nothing that I can do that doesn’t require a mode of transportation and money. Thus said, this brings me to my next gripe: I have to get a job. I need money for expenses, and this is the only time where I can have a chance to have some income. At least there’s a bookstore a couple of blocks away from my house. I can work there [full time: I need to save up for future expenses] and be able to walk or bike home when needed. Also I like reading so this will provide some positive things. [Look, I’m rambling. oh well.] Wish me luck, for I know not if they will hire me.

Lemme see…you’re willing to work full time and, because of the advantages of working at this particular place, probably willing to do it for minimum wage. I’d say that the only reason you would need luck in getting this job would be to make sure they still have an opening. So get your young butt over there first thing in the morning. Why has it taken you a week already?!?

Ooops, went paternal on ya. Sorry.

You never know till you try!

I love bookstores. I’d work in one for minium wage… but alas, it would all be gone as I would spend it all there… sigh. Damn my bibliophile soul!

Good luck!

I would love to work at a bookstore… thats what I need to do… get out and drop off resumes at the nearby bookstores… lesse I dropped one off at Smithbooks but they didn’t have an opening… I have yet to try Indigo, Chapters or the local second hand book stores… decides to go drop some off soon

You’re going out of your mind?

Well, of all the things I’ve lost, I miss my mind the most.

(giggle)

Scotti (I think?)

Hmmm, going out of one’s mind can be fun. It’s the only way to travel.

Ever stop to think, and forget to start?

Get your butt over to the book store and get that job. I’d love to work in a bookstore, but i’d get fired pretty quick. Hey, somebody ring this guy up! I’m in the middle of a paragraph!

It’s too hot to walk everywhere…
Get an umbrella. Yep. Im not kidding.

Yeah, a pink one, with ruffles around the edges. Then go prancing around the east side of town… Don’t forget to twirl!

Let us know how it goes.

Best of luck on the bookstore gig. I worked in one for a while and loved it. It was a pretty generic bookstore, but the people who came in were great–and I got an employee discount!

::crossing my fingers for you::

The umbrella thing sounds like fun, but enough people think i’m a weirdo as it is. The application is going to be handed in in the morning. Nothing like the smell of new books and coffee brewing in the morning. If this doesn’t go through, there’s always blockbuster.
