Um… did the monster-things, the things that were somehow surviving on nourishment found in the desolated city, actually break down a metal security door in a few minutes of jumping at it? Is that the same way they got thorugh the ostensibly bullet-proof window in the lab? Did he really put them in an escape hatch of sorts and then blow himself up rather than getting away with them? Did anyone think the ending was designed to create the same feeling as the end of Cruize’s War of the Worlds? Did I really spend that much time watching that film? Egad.
