I’m not “on their side”, or anything like that, but I believe I have an answer for you…whether it’s right or wrong–I’ll leave that for you and the teeming millions.
When you sign up at a website that you are purchasing something from, and you enter your billing info., that is what a majority of their info is based on.
That is, I may purchase something with my account on my brother’s card–the stuff will show up with his name on the package. That’s pretty much the way it is. The account you set up is now, for all intents and purposes set up in hubby’s name.
I’m not saying it’s right or wrong, but that’s the way it’s gone for me. I really am not the most private guy online, so it doesn’t bug me, but I can see where it would get to the privacy conscious.
