I bought a house!

Holy crap, this is starting to get real. I just put money in escrow for a house today, and I am annoyingly excited! It’s a short sale so the offer still has to be accepted by the bank, but things are looking very promising. They had been denying offers for several weeks but my agent (who happens to be my best friend) was able to sweet talk them into looking at mine. We went back and forth for a day over the contract, and everything was signed yesterday. They have an attorney working with the bank so the process has been a little less painful than most short sales.

Here are the pictures!

Looks nice. Nice roomy kitchen. Me and my awful tiny galley kitchen are jealous. Congratulations!

Is this your first?

Oooh, congratulations!

It’s lovely and looks to be well maintained! Kudos to the best friend too!

When will you move in?

Pretty cool. Wishing you a lifetime of joy in your new home.

Congrats. It looks like a home and not just a house.

Yep, first house. There’s a little cleanup renovation to do but nothing major. Thanks everybody!

Love it!!! I love the arches and the wavy walk.

I’m either years away or years past being able to buy a house but I look at real estate listings all the time.

I’d save your house to my favorites.

Sending positive vibes in support of a smooth process and move in.

I love the walkway. The curves are just right.

Congrats!
I’m jealous!

Very nice house - it looks just right! I hope all the rest of your purchase goes completely smoothly (ours never have, but you could be the first  ).

Congratulations. It’s been almost five years since I bought mine and I still can’t believe it. It still feels like a rental until I have to fix something  .

Congratulations. I bought my house about a year ago, and it’s definitely a nice feeling–both liberating and peaceful. I wish you many years of contentment in your new home.

I hope hers goes as smooth as mine did. I even ended up getting money back!! I can’t remember from where, but they said it was a pretty rare occurrence.

That does sound rare - I would advise people to expect unexpected expenses, rather than getting anything back.

i too like the curvy walk.

congratulations! may you have many happy, healthy, and repair free years!

Congratulations! I really like it.

Very nice. It looks like the previous owners really loved their home; I hope you love it just as much.
