I’ve got a Bunn MCU single serve machine that I love. It uses k-cups, soft pods, or fresh ground
I like Marley coffee right now in the Keurig – they have a dark brew (Buffalo Soldier, I think) that’s pretty good. I drink the One Love, which is a medium brew.
Bonus; if you do get the pods, the pods can be recycled.
Heh. Out of the blue, last night Mrs. L.A. said, ‘Don’t get me a Keurig machine for Christmas.’ :smack:
Apparently she doesn’t want the hassle and expense of buying the pods. She asked why I asked why she didn’t want one and then said, ‘Why? Did you already buy one?’ I told her I did not get her a Keurig machine for Christmas.
She’s getting it for her birthday. It’s on its way, and will be here Monday. Anyway, I got the reusable pod adapter thing, so she doesn’t have to buy the pods.
I keep meaning to come here and recommend San Francisco Bay Roasting Company. They use recycled material in their pods. My DH and argue about whether or not you can actually green waste their pods. I think you can. He thinks not. Anyhoo. Their coffee is good too.
I second the Buffalo Soldier coffee too. A bit strong for me most mornings, but always like to have some around.
We went through a few dozen flavours before we settled on a half dozen that we like.
And we recycle the cups, but first take out the grounds and liner for the compost. That’s my job every week or so.
Mrs. L.A. has been using the reusable filter and adapter. (She’s brewing the coffee from the can we brought back from Puerto Rico.) So she likes it!
(I use it occasionally, too.)
