My electric veggie steamer does it all for me. I can put rice and water in the bottom part, veggies in the top part and let em steam away while doing other stuff. Takes about 20-25 minutes but I don’t have to worry about it. It just gets done. How does it work? Magic of course!

Mine is the store brand, couldn’t tell you what store since I’m at work now. It’s either Albertson’s or Winn-Dixie.
