I burst into uncontrollable laughter in Target today...

I’m laughing so hard here I’m in tears! I wish my hubby was awake so I could show him this!

Two words:

Toxic.

Paint.

I recommend blood tests for heavy metals for you and anyone who ate food from this.

<Joking>. Sort of.

That’s been my experience, too. My husband decided to surprise me with a toaster oven one time. I had told him that Chefmate was a bad brand, although I’ve never had a Chefmate appliance shoot flames…I just put the toaster oven directly into the trash. I told Bill that this was the safest and most effective way to use anything from Chefmate.

Of course, it was also the most effective way of getting him to REMEMBER not to buy anything made by Chefmate. Bill buys things based almost entirely on the price tag, unless it’s something like guns or cars…you know, stuff that HE cares about.

Back to blowdryers, I had one explode in my hand one startling morning. Flames didn’t shoot out the “gun” end, but rather a giant spark ignited my hand from the pistol-grip portion. I ended up with a wicked burn wound right in the center of my palm. The upside of it, though, was that I could go around claiming stigmata and hope to achieve sainthood by the time I was 30. :stuck_out_tongue:

Wimp.
When I was a kid, we ate the sticks and hammers.

I heard the sandwich maker can also be used as a claymore…

My Chefmate rock broke the first time I tried to use it. Guess I should have got the metamorphic model instead of the sedimentary one. (the igneous version was out of stock and probably would have been a fire hazard anyway)

Yeah, I was thinking of my sister – and that everyone responding to this post on our SD MBs should buy one for their particularly-significant-other…

—G!

If I had a day
That I could give to you
I’d give to you
A day just like today

As I posted, it’s Nice Work If You Can Get It.

Same here. I broke the latch when I squeezed a half-frozen bagel filled with cheese into it, but I take the blame for that, and it took a few months. Ive had the sandwhich grill for years and it works great

The sword, or the explosive mine?

That’s because the flames spurt out inside the lid and the base.

“New! The Chefmate “EZ-Bake” Mixer!”
At Just $3 each and it really is a door-buster. Just out, not in.

Depends if the on/off timer works or not. :stuck_out_tongue:

Two points for the Count!

And someone is offering a new one for $19.99 + $7.69 shipping! That’s Chutzpah!

It shoots flames and only costs $6?!?!? I’m on my way to Target!

I think Target’s policy allows you to return it if it fails to ignite.

I would think flames shooting out would be more effective.

I see the problem here. It’s labeled in the add as an “electric hand mixer”. It can either be an electric mixer or a hand mixer, not both. Right?

Got it…the cord on the thing is merely a tether to the wall so if you drop it it won’t land on your feet. The on/off switch should not have been installed.

No, a hand mixer is a mixer held in your hand, as opposed to a stand mixer, which has a stand and sits on the table/counter.

An electric hand mixer is a hand mixer that is electric, as opposed to a mechanical hand mixer that you power with your muscles.

Or spoon and you do the mixing yourself.
